About Acalora

Acalora is a new lighting store, but we're not new to this industry.

Before Acalora existed, our team spent years on the wholesale and distribution side of home goods, working with retailers across multiple countries to get lighting and home decor onto shelves. Somewhere along the way, we kept noticing the same gap: good-looking, well-made lighting was either priced like a luxury purchase or looked like it came from a big-box clearance aisle. Not much in between.

Acalora is us trying to close that gap - going direct to customers for the first time, with the sourcing relationships and industry experience we already had, instead of starting from scratch.

Right now, that means ceiling lights, wall lights, lamps, and outdoor lighting, with a lean toward clean, modern, Scandinavian- and Japandi-influenced design. We're not trying to be everything at once. We'd rather get a smaller range right than flood the store with things we wouldn't want in our own homes.

We're just getting started here, so if something about your order or a product isn't right, tell us - we're a small team reading every email ourselves, not a call center script.
