Interactive Robotics & Kinematics

The Vivolux Lawrence is a programmable robot system designed for teaching technological fundamentals and interactive entertainment. The mechanics are based on flexible joint connections and a roller skate drive system on the underside, which enables omnidirectional movement (forward, backward, sideways) as well as fluid gliding and walking movements. The movable shoulder and thumb joints extend the range of action for complex movement sequences.

Sensor Technology & Programmable Control Modes

• Gesture and Remote Control: Equipped with infrared sensor technology, the robot recognizes hand gestures and translates them into real-time movements. Alternatively, control is via a 2.4 GHz remote control with a range of up to 8 meters.
• Sequential Programming: The system allows the programming of up to 50 individual action sequences. Commands such as changes of direction, sound output, and gestures can be combined and automatically reproduced, offering initial insights into algorithmic logic.
• Obstacle Management: Integrated sensors enable a patrol mode in which obstacles in the room are detected and autonomously navigated around.
• Audio-Visual Feedback: LED matrix displays in the eye area, as well as an integrated audio system for voice output, music, and popular science learning content, provide multidimensional feedback.
